What is Life Coaching

Life Coaching in a simplified explanation is about identifying where you are (current situation) and where you want to be (goals and objectives). The difference between your current situation and your dream/goal is called the ‘gap’ and through life coaching we look to bridge that gap.
People come for coaching when they feel stuck, blocked or unfulfilled or when they are in a period of transition or a place of questioning. Other individuals may be very satisfied with how their life is going but choose coaching to work on one particular area of their life that they want to improve.
Coaching looks at all areas of life i.e. career, relationships, finances, personal development and health and well-being and has many benefits.
My Personal Coaching programme is about:
- Connecting your mind and body;
- You – your wants, dreams and desires;
- How you do what you do. We leave the whys at home;
- Discovering your habits, behaviours and thinking patterns that create your life;
- Exploring possibilities for growth in areas of your life;
- Setting outcomes/goals that are specific, realistic, inspiring and motivating;
- Develop new habits, behaviours and thinking patterns; that can change how you see yourself, life and the world around you;
- A journey of self discovery and self awareness, focused on creating change;and
- Injecting a bite size (maybe even chunk size) of fun and inner exploration.

Our beliefs are stories that we tell ourselves about why life is the way it is. These stories can come from many sources as we’ve heard many since we were children – stories from parents, family, friends, colleagues, bosses, teachers etc. The stories can help us identify our values and also hold our core beliefs. Yet some of our stories can limit us. If you want to change your story, discover useful beliefs and patterns to live the life you want to lead then coaching is for you.
